Visit from Réunion Island

Last month we hosted a student teacher from Réunion Island, a French department in the Indian Ocean. Madame Lagay supported groups of children in the French lessons, read with them and made a presentation about La Réunion. Hosting a French student teacher raises the international profile of our school, fosters pupils curiosity and deepen their understanding of the world.

Madame Rivas wins National Teacher Award

Ms. Rivas was awarded the Primary Language Teacher of the year 2017 for her creative teaching approaches with well developed CLIL (cross curricular) lessons, for having a good sense of pupils progress linked to the curriculum, teaching lessons which are very popular (favourite subject for two years in a whole school pupil survey), and for presenting workshops at different languages conferences as well as sharing ideas freely via her blog.

We have been featured on the Teach Primary magazine

Issue of Teach Primary April 2017
